Another update from BIM VR.
BIM VR is our tool for viewing and collaborating on BIM models in virtual and mixed reality. Teams can step inside a model together, review projects at real scale, and discuss changes directly in the space.
In the latest version we’ve improved how object transformation works. Previously, moving or scaling objects required selecting specific axes, which wasn’t always the most intuitive interaction in VR. Now we’ve added a visual gizmo with clear axes, so objects can be grabbed and moved much more naturally.
There’s also a free transform mode, which allows you to reposition elements in a much more fluid way.
This is also a preparation step for the next stage we’re working on: grouping objects and creating reusable templates. Soon users will be able to store primitives and constructions in a dedicated folder and quickly assemble larger structures inside the model. Step by step we’re making BIM models easier to work with directly in XR.
