We have completed our Product Creation course for FIIT students

`

Two weeks ago, we completed the course on creating a product, which we taught to the 2nd year students of the FIIT (Fundamental Informatics and Information Technologies) program at the Ural Federal University for the whole semester. Our CEO Alexey Kulakov was the course lecturer, assisted by our PR&HR director Anna Tatyankina.

For half a year, we talked with students about what product, HADI cycles and MVP are, how to test hypotheses, how to calculate unit economics and present a project. We constantly gave them feedback and advised them even on weekends. We decided to complete the course with the project defence – and our students did great.

We divided the class into seven teams, each of them had to present their own product. We also invited an expert jury to give the guys valuable feedback. In addition to us, the projects were evaluated by: Pavel Egorov and Ivan Domashnykh from FIIT, Daria Kharchenko from IIDF, Andrey Tomachinsky, Olga Pashnina, Elizaveta Kutlunina and Nikolai Bobrov from SKB Kontur, and Yulia Gerasimovich from IT-People.

All jury members noted the high involvement of students, the depth of idea development, and the quality of their presentations. But the best outcome was that experts are already ready to work with some products and invest in them!

It was an amazing experience for both us and our students! Now the guys understand what product and design work is and how to turn an idea into a product. And here is what the author of the course Alexey Kulakov says about it: “The students were great. I really liked the presentations, and I would love to see some of the projects turn into a business.
