We released Salsa XR 10 days ago and since that time it has met dozens of happy users already. After the first stages of beta testing, we see our audience appreciate the following features:
- Adjustable position of the teacher: you can move them to any comfortable position in your environment,
- Autostep: you can break a step down into smaller elements, which eases the process of learning,
- Foot pattern on the floor,
- The variety of salsa basic steps.
The core mission of Salsa XR is to implement the best characteristics of Extended reality to the benefit of the audience. Nathan Sudds, an XR expert and entrepreneur, was one of the first people to try Salsa XR. He highlights the advantages of learning in an XR environment: “This is the greatest feature of XR: you can learn new skills without worrying that someone is watching you. If it takes me a bit longer to learn a new move, I won’t feel embarrassed for slowing down the whole group. I can just go at my own pace and experiment with my learning capabilities. I also don’t have to worry if I step on anyone’s feet while dancing. I keep telling everybody: one headset gives you so much ability.”
We’re deeply grateful to everyone who took some time to download the app and share their thoughts. Your feedback helps us see if we’re going in the right direction with our work. Try out Salsa XR: https://vr.meta.me/s/1QAKHVsrPL6QXIP
