During these months we’ve been sharing our vision on the product development approach. We thought it is a great idea to show you what we draw our inspiration from. This list of useful sources has been compiled by Artem Aksenov, JetStyle’s Head of Business Processes Optimization.
These books and articles are what has motivated us along the way of integrating the product development approach into JetStyle’s IT culture. Here’s what Artem says about them:
1. Erin Meyer and Reed Hastings, No Rules Rules: Netflix and the Culture of Reinvention
It amazes me to read about how these amazing ideas have been executed in this business and ‘gave birth’ to Netflix, a global streaming giant.
2. Tony Hsieh, Delivering Happiness
This book is like a fiction novel: it is so vivid, lively and humane you can’t even believe it’s about an IT genuis. A very nice and light reading.
3. Medium article “Fundamentals of the Product Development Approach”
You may think I’m abusing my right to speak out on social media with some native advertising. Well, I am :) I took part in writing this article as well. The thing is, this article is indeed great if you’re trying to figure out the basics of the product development approach.
4. Jeff Sutherland, Scrum. The Art of Doing Twice the Work in Half the Time
This book gives a detailed review of the benefits scrum-methodologies can bring to a business, instead of only telling us how to use it in our work.
