Gaussian splatting is a game changer in 3D content creation. This status is well-deserved: before Gaussian splatting we didn’t have such an incredible balance between speed and quality.
Gaussian splatting creates smooth, high-quality visualizations of objects and environments. Unlike traditional methods like meshes or voxels, it efficiently renders complex scenes in real-time. As always, we’re excited to try new tools and see if they’re worth the hype. After several months of testing, we can see a lot of industries benefit from Gaussian splatting, for example:
📌Real estate & construction: you can create good-quality renders of buildings and interiors really fast,
📌Automobile production,
📌 Corporate safety training, etc.
Together with Alex Markin, Creative Director at JetXR, we’re writing an article about Gaussian splatting: we want to cover the basics of this phenomenon, elaborate on its benefits and show our examples of 3D models made with it. If you have any questions about Gaussian splatting, let’s discuss them in the comments.
