Movix is a home set-top box from Dom.ru – our long-time partner. Earlier, we developed a new interface for TV and mobile applications and a remote control. And then it was time for branded packaging.

Remote control in the spotlight

The remote control is the first thing that new subscribers will see and touch, as this is what the set-top box users interact with the most.

Colourful inner box lining contrasts with the black case and securely holds the remote control during transportation.

Two boxes

Dom.ru set-top boxes Movix and Movix Pro differ in size, feature set and price.

For each of them, we thought out the construction of the compartments, the placement of devices inside the box and selected the materials and the main colours of the packaging.

Terebon’ka

The remote control is branded with a small ribbon tag with a company logo on it – we call it “terebon’ka”. The same ribbon is used through the whole packaging: it helps to open the box, take out the set-top box from the lodgement, and adds a personal touch to the packaging.

Storage pocket for user manual

It is made of 5 mm thick single layer cardboard. The internal pocket is attached to the box lid, which helps to focus users' attention on the manual.

Cables compartment

It is made of 5 mm thick single layer cardboard. One cardboard sheet creates two compartments, containing an HDMI cable and an adapter. Each compartment is branded with an icon indicating its contents.

Remote control compartment

It is made of EVA material, which allows to make the recess in the compartment completely repeating the shape of the remote control. Thanks to this, the remote securely stays in its place and is protected from damage.

Set-top box compartment

It is made of EVA material, which allows to make the recess in the compartment completely repeating the shape of the set-top box and protect it from damage.

The Box

The box is made of a three layer micro-corrugated cardboard. It is black outside and mint inside. There is a special slot for “terebon'ka", which is mounted inside the box.

Remote control compartment

It consists of 3 cardboard blocks: two blocks serve as side walls, the third one is used to place the remote control. There is a special wall with a recess for the remote’s “terebon'ka", which allows to tightly fix it in the compartment.

Set-top box compartment

It consists of the main part, where the set-top box is located, and the back wall, which has a slot for the connector protruding from the set-top box body.

Client's testimonial

We have been working with JetStyle for over five years. During this time, the agency has established itself as a reliable partner. The agency coped with the non-trivial task of creating a GiftBox packaging for our new TV set-top box. We were involved in all stages of solving the problem and have built excellent interaction processes. The achieved result met all our requirements and restrictions, fit into the budget and impressed both us and our customers.
